Artiko sofa by Mdd – modular design for flexible room concepts

The Artiko Sofa Mdd stands for connection and flexibility. The name comes from Esperanto and means "connection"—a concept reflected in the modular design. BauThis is reflected in the design. Rounded elements without sharp edges can be freely combined, creating countless organic shapes and seating configurations for different room sizes.

Comfort and construction

The seat is deeply and softly padded and equipped with type A wave springs, ensuring comfortable and relaxed seating. The seat cushion is 110 mm thick with a density of 35 kg/m³, and the backrest is also padded with foam of the same density. The frame of the seat and backrest is made of particleboard, and the seat cushion is made of 16 mm lacquered MDF in the same color as the frame. The outer frame is made of 18 mm powder-coated metal. The maximum weight capacity per seat is 120 kg.

Color and features

The seat is finished in light grey (VC-0220), the backrest in aluminum (VC-0232). An optional media box with a power outlet and USB-A/USB-C charging port is available, further enhancing the sofa's functionality.

Versatile

Thanks to its flexible modular configuration, Artiko adapts to both small and large spaces. It is suitable for lounge areas in offices, libraries, hotels, and universities, as well as waiting rooms or private living spaces. Optional tables mounted on the seating connectors provide additional workspace.
