STEEL Keep in mind that steel is a material that can rust if exposed to water and moisture for long periods of time. Paint or other finishing treatment is what keeps rust at bay, so it is important not to damage the coating. Solvents should not be used on painted or varnished steel, as this will dissolve the surface and expose it to rust. For daily care, clean with a soft cloth and soapy water. Always wipe the surface dry afterwards and avoid excess water. VELVET & CORDUROY Velvet and corduroy are fabrics that fade in the sun, so be careful not to expose the furniture to direct sunlight. Both fabrics attract Staub For optimal removal, use a soft brush regularly. You can also use a roller or a cloth brush. For pressure marks, use the steam from a steam iron or steamer to even out the fabric. We recommend impregnating the fabric with a fabric spray before first use to make dirt and stains easier to remove. Remove stains immediately. Do not rub, but gently absorb with a cloth. If the stains do not disappear, use a stain remover, testing it on a less visible part of the furniture first. We recommend washing larger pieces of furniture with foam at least three times a year.
