Color - Half-shelving unit by MDD: A combination of openness and security

The half-shelf unit from Mdd's Color collection combines open shelving with a lockable cabinet section, making it a flexible storage solution for offices, reception areas, educational institutions, and service areas. The striking colored HPL front adds a vibrant splash of color, while the patented lock provides additional security for the contents of the enclosed compartment.

Materials and workmanship

The top panel is made of 28 mm thick melamine board with ABS edging. The body, back panel, shelf, and base are made of 18 mm thick melamine board, also with ABS edging. The front panel features a push-to-open mechanism and is coated with HPL. The shelf is secured against accidental opening and designed for a load capacity of up to 70 kg/m². The 27 mm high feet offer 5 mm of internal height adjustment.

The half-shelf unit is finished in satin aluminum, both on the top and bottom panels. It comes without a plinth and is equipped with a patented lock. A semi-matte aluminum metal plinth (M009) and a Lacobel glass top panel are available as options.

Sizes and areas of application

The half-shelf unit is available in two heights – 112.9 cm and 183.3 cm, each with a width of 43.2 cm and a depth of 80.1 cm – making it adaptable to various room layouts. Whether in the office, reception area, educational institution, or private living space, the open compartments and lockable cabinet make it suitable for a variety of storage solutions.
