STEEL: Keep in mind that steel is a material that can rust if exposed to water and moisture for extended periods. It is important to keep steel furniture dry, for example, by using a furniture cover. Rust from inside or on the furniture can drip down and discolor the surface it sits on. Keep this in mind when placing it on your new wooden deck. Paint or other finish is what keeps rust away, so it is important not to damage the coating. Solvents should not be used on painted or varnished steel, as this will dissolve the surface and expose it to rust. For daily care, clean with a soft cloth and soapy water.
