Hide Office Recycle Bin

Hide Office wastebasket by Normann Copenhagen – where sustainability meets design

The Hide Office wastebasket by Normann Copenhagen is more than just a simple wastebasket. It's a statement of modern, sustainable design and functionality. Made from recycled PET felt, it offers an eco-friendly solution for storing paper waste in your office or home.

Sustainable materials for a better future

At the heart of the Hide collection lies a commitment to exploring more responsible, circular materials. The wastebasket is made from PET felt, a remarkable fabric made from recycled plastic bottles. These bottles undergo a transformation process in which they are extruded into fine polyester fibers and then carefully pressed into a durable, visually appealing felt material.

Functionality and aesthetics combined

As the name suggests, the Hide Office wastebasket is designed to cleverly store and conceal items you don't want on display. It blends seamlessly into any interior and offers a discreet way to store discarded drawings, notes, or other paper waste.

Design by Simon Legald

Simon Legald, the designer behind the Hide collection, explains: “Using PET felt, we transform plastic waste into durable, versatile designs that meet the needs of modern life.” The Hide Office wastebasket is a perfect example of this philosophy and shows how sustainability and design can go hand in hand.

The Hide collection is made from recycled polyethylene terephthalate (PET) felt, which is made from used plastic bottles, extruded into soft fibers, and pressed into a felt material.

The PET felt surface can be cleaned with water. To remove stains, gently dab the area with a dry cloth while the material is still damp. Avoid rubbing the surface, as this could damage the material or cause excessive pilling. Allow the surface to air dry naturally. We recommend using professional cleaning products to clean the PET felt surface. However, we recommend testing these cleaning products on an inconspicuous area first. Regular StaubVacuuming the PET felt surface is recommended to Staubparticles. To avoid damage to the material, it is recommended to keep the product away from heat sources such as heaters, fireplaces, and hair dryers.
