Weiße Lacke können besonders empfindlich auf verschiedene Farbstoffe reagieren, die in Lebensmitteln, Erfrischungsgetränken, Rotwein und Kaffee enthalten sind. Reinigungsmittel und Möbelpflegeprodukte, die Ammoniak enthalten, sind für lackierte Oberflächen weniger geeignet, da Aceton, Verdünner und Brennspiritus die Farbe lösen können.
